AKU Show And
233rd All Breed Championship Show Postponed
Posted
on : Friday, 12th August 2005
The above 2 shows
that were originally scheduled for 21st August
2005 were compelled to be postponed due to the
haze crisis currently surrounding the country,
especially in the Klang Vallley - venue of the
2 shows. This unfortunate eleventh hour development
was also in line with a directive from the Selangor
government barring all outdoor activities.
All exhibitors kindly
take note of the following:-
* The AKU show shall be postponed to 18th December
2005
* The next shows shall be the MKA 232nd and
233rd All Breed Championship to be held in The
Mines Exhibition Centre, KL on 1st October
2005.
This shall be followed by the MKA 234th
and 235th All Breed Championship on 2nd October
2005 at the same venue.
* All fees paid for the cancelled shows on 21st
August 2005 shall be refunded by cheque and posted
to registered address of members
* All refunds are targeted to be sent out and
be received by exhibitors by 26th August 2005
All exhibitors with queries on the above or who
have not received their refund by 26th August
2005 are requested to contact the MKA secretariat.
The MKA express regret for the inconveniences
arising from this postponement.

Welcome
to the new mka.org.my
Posted
on : Monday, 3rd January 2005
Malaysian
Kennel Association (MKA) is pleased to welcome
you to its new official website. The renovated
website represents one of the many initiatives
the association has undertaken to change, strengthen
and re-invent itself to meet the dynamism of members,
the astute canine world and increasing interest
of dog ownership and sports.
Apart
from the principal and historical objectives of
being the exclusive registrar of pure bred dogs
in the country, promote the breeding and exhibiting
of pure bred dogs and formulation of dog show
rules, MKA is evolving to be a 'total' dog club
for all dogs lovers. Accordingly, this website
allocates sizeable space to promote the human
element in relation to their love for dogs.
This
new website aims to give both members and the
public detailed information, news, dog related
articles in an invigorating and contemporary presentation.
One
of the primary concepts behind the design of this
new website is to maximize interactivities and
be member orientated. We want to instill to members
that this is Your association's website and members
have the avenue to post and share articles on
the web. In line with this, you will find some
of the new sections such as:-
1)
Feedback
2) Lost And
Found
3) Featured Member
4) My Dog & I
5) Memorial
6) Breeder's Corner
Information
Technology (IT) doesn't come cheap. MKA is not
mortified that the design and technology of this
new website may not be as spectacular as compared
to those of strictly commercial and profit orientated
organizations. Conversely, MKA being a non-profitable
organization with limited resource is proud to
be able to launch this contemporary website through
the optimization of investment and voluntary human
resource that enable it to stand out equally,
if not taller than those of other organizations
in its class.
This
new website does not culminate here. Rather, it's
the beginning of an ambitious vision of MKA in
making the web a vital channel of communication,
information, interaction and transaction for members
in particular and the public in general. So, members,
make this YOUR homepage and give your support
to all the member-orientated sections to help
make this a top-class website.
